Last Friday, more than 80 pupils took part in an afternoon of dance in the New Bury Theatre. The theme this year was Fairy Tales with each class performing a piece based on a traditional tale.
Year 1 pupils performed Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and were led into the dark forest by the huntsman. Reception performed Cinderella accompanied by Mrs Starr, who played the part of the Fairy Godmother. Year 2 climbed and climbed to the top of the beanstalk to be greeted by the giant in Jack and The Beanstalk. The show concluded with the creative dance group retelling the story of Hansel and Gretel, as the pupils created a gingerbread house – and even the Wicked Witch made an appearance.
